God Grew Tired of Us

I’ve heard many people say that I should watch this film and I finally made the time to watch it earlier. Wow, what a story. I wanna meet these guys and just talk to them and hear their stories. It would be an honor. The hardships and sacrifices they went through was truly unimaginable.

Here we are in the U.S. worrying about the new outfit for the party this weekend, the new iPhone 4s and whatever wants we have. These guys worried about how to survive everyday and whether their parents are alive or not. I know stuff like this happens everywhere in the world and who doesn’t wanna do something and change things? The problem with all of us is that we all talk about it but none of us want to do anything about it.

Anyway, here’s the description of the video “After raising themselves in the desert along with thousands of other “lost boys,” Sudanese refugees John, Daniel and Panther have found their way to America, where they experience electricity, running water and supermarkets for the first time. Capturing their wonder at things Westerners take for granted, this documentary, an award winner at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival, paints an intimate portrait of strangers in a strange land.”

This video is on Netflix and it might even be on Youtube or Google Video. It’s worth watching!
